Only used twice, but so far seems good. I have the corded version which is very similar, so glad this seems to be much the same, but cordless. i did well over half of my lawn on one battery, so the two batteries are very useful.

First impressions are that it is a quality item. Works well, fast and quietly. Nice not to have to spend energy yanking my arm off starting the darn thing. battery died fairly quickly when i attacked some ridiculously long grass; but it did polish the grass off!

My husband's health has necessitated that i take over the lawn mowing, and there's no way i can manage his similar width petrol rotary, what with the weight, fuel, and starting technique. This is instantly available, light and convenient to push about, and quiet enough for use on a sunday morning. Criticism - that 'on-off' bar is uncomfortable. Resolved that by putting a plastic plant-tie round the handle at the side and sliding it to the centre to hold it on, then sliding it back for off. H & s, eat your heart out!

Very pleased with the bosch 42 li 36v cordless lawn mower. very easy to use & move about as it is fair light but well built.

This is the best lawnmower i have ever owned. Don't be fooled by the all-plastic construction, it seems well enough designed for the job and the light weight is a bonus. Quality of cut is excellent, the height adjust works well (you can remove the plastic stop to get a shorter cut). The combs seem to work (at least it cuts close to the edge). No idea how the batteries will last, but you get two and once charged out of the box the capacity seems good. I have three separate lawns, one quite large, and it nearly did all of it on one battery first cut of the season. I went over the large lawn with a higher cut. I'm so glad i didn't get a petrol mower. Did i say it was quiet as well?

I have had my Bosch mower now for 20 months and I am very pleased with it. It is light and easy to use, cuts well, covers a decent area on one charge and is reasonably well made. A second lithium battery is essential, which fortunately is included in the deal. Lithium batteries are so much lighter than conventional lead ones and retain virtually full power until needing recharging. A couple of small niggles - 1) the cable retaining clips are not strong enough and the cable easily unclips if the machine brushes against bushes, 2) the on/off control bar cuts into your hand after a short time. It needs to be made of wider diameter metal. Other than these two minor points I cannot fault the mower. It was expensive to buy, but worth the outlay, if only to avoid cutting through cables on electric models, or fiddling with petrol engines!

As a lady in her 70's I have found this mower gives me memories of pushing a pram. Easy peasy. Light and easily guided. But you men don't think it is girlish as a very manly man neighbour has the same model and finds it great. No petrol to buy, no trailing electric cable to avoid what more can I say. Superb. Batteries easy to charge or recharge and not heavy to handle. Great.

The mower goes for about 45 minutes on one battery, so you need to have the second one ready charged for use. Otherwise no problems.

Why are there two batteries for this model?
Answered by 'Tooled-Up Team Member' on 29/04/2009
This is the current offer including two batteries so a spare is always to hand.

Brilliant service, the smart holder saw horse was delivered the next day and we are delighted with the product. Makes logging for the winter so much easier. Thanks.

Excellent service, and an unbeatable price on my Bosch 24v SDS. Ordered late Friday night and my gear arrived early Tuesday morning as promised. Will use Tooled-Up.com again.
