It detects damp but not much of a range of detection, i.e. its either damp or not.

Rapitest 118 damp meter may not be a professional model but I knew this by the price before I bought it. It does give the diy man a good indication of damp levels as it has a graduated scale and information on the front of the meter relating to action required for levels found. It also has a battery test mode which is also very handy. I rate it 10 out of 10
