This is my second tool, the last one stopped working after an hour. Not very demanding work - cutting skirting. This has now also stopped working - probably for the same reason. Rather than bother leaving it back i took it apart. Well done for ingenuity! There is an ordinary on/off switch inside actuated by a lever from the red on/off switch outside. Anyway i suspect the problem is in the speed controller circuit which is probably not up to the job. Or the curious on/off switch. I'll test with a meter and see. There is no sign or overheating, worn brushes etc.

Nice looking product which performs well

Handy tool does the tricky jobs bigger tools can't do. Seems well made but only used a few times so cannot speak for reliability. Can't see where the £106 valuation on extra tools comes from but, that said, would recommend.

This was a replacement for my previous Bosch 190e which I have found to be the most useful tool in my box.
I use it for working on a classic sailing boat and it enable very accurate dissection of rotten wood and fine adjustment to aperture for new wood.
Excellent for use on fitting wooden floor to bottom of door posts.
the sanding pad gets worn very quickly due to overheat of the plastic velcro hoops. Expensive to rep-lace.
highly recommended tool and tooled up gave excellent service and were the best price.

Wish i had bought one of these gadgets years ago.

Before purchasing the unit i read many reviews and ended up even more confused. I knew what i wanted the multitool for and everything i wanted from the tool it worked well.
some of the reviews stated the blades did not last, but from my experience the blades are more than sufficient for normal diy work, i found by not pushing the blade too much it works well.
i would certainly recommend the purchase of the bosch 190 multitool.

Highly versatile for diy work from making cut outs in wood to cutting channels in plaster and plasterboard for cabling. Have also used for plaster removal, wallpaper removal(remarkably left the liner behind), cutting irregular shapes in wood for a boat. I also used it when polishing machine broke down to finish of using cutting compound and polishing of hull.

The saw attachments wear out very quickly.Replacements are very expensive for a component which is unlightly to last a cut 12"x 12" in 1/2" marine ply.

Quality bit of kit and the tooled-up deal was the best i could find on the net. It comes in a sturdy carry case with a good selection of accessories and has been invaluable in completing a range of jobs. It's one of those tools where you wonder how you ever got by without it.
only negative i've encountered is that the velcro backing on the tips of the sanding attachment are easily damaged (leading to the sanding sheet not sticking properly) and replacements are a bit pricey.

Would have given 5 stars but for the fact that bosch parts tend to be expensive, but i would have not bought this except it was on offer, always found bosch to be well built, useful attachments. Pity that not all stores do not keep all attachments. Means you have to get some from say tooled-up and others from elsewhere.

I purchased this product as a birthday (40) present for my son in law.It is very well built (feels solid)and comes in a substantial box which has room for a good range of accessories. The included kit permits a good range of tasks.I feel it is a touch expensive especially at full price but the discount price from tooled-up is very competetive
