I expect we've all had to sand curved or irregular shaped profiles at some stage, and it is all to easy to sand a flat area onto a curve. this gets round that problem because the little flaps mold themselves to the shape, and you can sand a wide area all at once (depending on the sharpness of the curve of course. The sanding roller machine is a good piece of kit overall, with variable speed, an effective dust extraction system, and dead simple changing of the various sanding fittings. It takes about three seconds and no tools to go from one to another.
