This flymo replaces an earlier model which gave many years of trouble-free mowing. The new one is just as robust as the previous one, which is rare nowadays. For a good finish on rough or undulating grassland it is excellent - quick and easy to use. On top of all that, it was made in england!

Flymo products are great pieces of kit generally. It's a brand you can trust for reliability. The model i bought is easy to use and handles well. It's ideal for flat or undulating lawns. This model is light enough to carry and also easy to clean. Adjusting the height of the cut is easy. more cable management clips would be useful and spare blade should ideally be part of the supplied accessories.

Great for my terraced garden makes life a lot easier especially on the slopes.

This machine is a five-star product which i bought specifically to deal with two long and steep banks . With large cutting circle, metal blade, powerful motor,ample cutting height adjustment and- especially - light weight, it has transformed a dreaded chore into a pleasurable efficient part of mowing routine. One of the banks has been netted yet, even so, i have found it possible cut it effectively on high setting without entanglement. I don't miss the lack of grass collection (i.E. More weight) in the least. mowing a steep slope from above requires a handle which can be lowered to lie parallel with the lawn surface. The turbo lite 400 has this capability, but flymo has omitted to provde for it to be locked in this position. The good news is, however,that a clothes peg does the job nicely! Two other further non-critical thoughts: a couple more cable-clips would come in handy, also some provision for on-board cable storage. by way of post-script, just to test the machine as backup for my john deere js 63, i did the whole garden with it the other day and the only difference was that it took me ten minutes longer - so five stars it most definitely is!

If you have to tackle slopes, confined or circular lawns, then this product does the job - effortlessly. It may not collect the cuttings - but using this is so effortless that keeping the grass short is a pleasure rather than a chore - particularly good when conventional straight line mowing is not practical - and (hopefully) a motor of this size will have the guts to last.
