Unfortunately the little door mouse was too clever and never fell for the trap and the rat was too big!

The simple but effective design works well, containing the mouse inside until release when it is then ready for re-use. however, it may be necessary to vary the choice of food to entice the mice into the humane trap.

Best made, sturdy safe - feeding home for mice, i've ever seen. but if you want to catch a mouse (let alone up to 10 as advertised), then don't buy this little white elephant. it doesn't work. mice come in, eat the food (good old peanut butter) and go out full. i have this, plus 3 cheap, plastic single humane mouse traps in my kitchen, that was invaded by mice after christmas. the plastic traps have now caught 6 individual mice and the problem has gone away. the well made, sturdy pb multi catch humane mouse trap metal, has not caught one - but they've definitely been there. food gone and poo left behind. not impressed.

The build quality is sturdy, enough that a cat can't tip it over to try and get a mouse out. However there is a big problem - i can't get the mouse out either! The design is such that the mouse can hide under one of the ramps that lead into the trap. There are enough bits for it to grip on to, so even when turned 90 degrees the mouse was able to hold on in there. There is no way to encourage it out gently. It seems to be a ridiculous oversight in an otherwise good trap. I have just spent 20 minutes trying to get a mouse out. In the end i had to leave the trap open in some woods nearby and go back for it in an hour, hoping the mouse has come out. Hardly ideal. Surely the designers considered the fact that the mouse would obviously hide under one of the ramps? In which case why not build a way of getting them out from there?
