Fruit Pruners

Fruit Pruners Information

Fruit Pruners, also called fruit picking shears or fruit pruning shears, are compact cutting tools which are ideal for precision pruning and cutting tasks around the garden. Equipped with sharp, scissor action blades, they produce clean and crisp cuts, and are perfect for harvesting fruits and vegetables, picking flowers and pruning young plants. They are commonly used whenever secateurs would be too large or imprecise.

Here's our Quick Application Guide:

• Pointed Fruit Pruners - the blades on a pointed fruit pruner terminate in a fine point, enabling them to be used for extremely fine work and allowing optimum access into tight spots,
• Snub Nose Fruit Pruners - the blades on a snub nose fruit pruner are rounded off at the end. While this means they are not as much of a precision tool as pointed pruners, their principle advantage is that they can be used and carried without poking holes in pockets and/or causing accidental injuries.
• Curved Blade Fruit Pruners - like on a pair of nail scissors, the blades on curved pruners have an angle to them. Curved blades can be advantageous when cutting at awkward angles, such as when working above head height, and can provide a more natural angle to snip fruit or flowers without having to twist the hand into awkward positions.
• Straight Blade Fruit Pruners - straight pruners are built like a standard pair of scissors and are ideal for precision applications and straight cuts.
