Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers

What you need to know about Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers

Like other forms of Pressure Washer, Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers are used to undertake cleaning tasks outdoors. They have two big advantages over Electric Pressure Washers, the first being that they are more powerful. Their greater power is a result of high bar pressure & a high flow rate, meaning that a lot of water will be expelled very quickly, providing more cleaning force over a greater area. The second advantage of using Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers is that they free you up to clean away from a nearby power source. Therefore they will be the preferred option for those used to working in large open areas, such as agricultural workers, or in a variety of locations, such as contractors. There are a few disadvantages to Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers, however - they require more maintenance than electric models, they need refuelling, & they are more noisy & polluting.

Maintaining Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers

Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers should be completely drained of water & fuel prior to storage. Replace with fresh fuel before use. Engine Oil should be changed on a regular basis; refer to your Pressure Washer's manual to find out how often this should be done.

Safety when using Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers

Petrol & Diesel Pressure Washers eject a powerful stream of water, capable of causing injury to yourself or others if improperly handled. Do not direct the hose towards people or pets. Moreover, to avoid slipping ensure that you are wearing a sturdy pair of Shoes while using the Pressure Washer. Never use a piece of equipment with a petrol or diesel engine indoors or in an enclosed area - this will lead to a build up of exhaust fumes, which could prove fatal.
