Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners

What you need to know about Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners

Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners resemble ordinary Canister Vacuum Cleaners, but can be used for a wider range of applications. The internal electrical components in a Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner are well insulated from the intake, meaning that as well as ordinary dust & dirt, the Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner can suck in fluids and damp waste without risk of damage to the machine or of electrocution to the user. They come in handy in any working environment in which spillages are common; including garages, workshops, leisure centres, schools, hospitals & pub cellars. Professional cleaners, general handymen & plumbers often find them useful too. Around the home they can be used to clean just like a normal Vacuum Cleaner, except that you'll be able to deal with wet patches in your kitchen, bathroom or garage while you're at it. So no more mopping.

Some Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner models also have a Blower Function, meaning that as well as being able to draw air in, they are able to rapidly expel it out. This can be useful for pushing dust, leaves or other debris in to a single pile before gathering. Choose a Blower Function model if you regularly clean large areas, & want to save yourself time doing so.

Maintaining your Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner

Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners do not require much maintenance. Filters require cleaning, & may need replacement after extended use. For Filters & Attachments, sorted by brand, check out our Vacuum Cleaner Bags & Accessories section.
