Wire Strippers

There are two types of Wire Stripper: Manual Wire Strippers & Automatic Wire Strippers. Manual Wire Strippers consist of a pair of notched blades which can be closed & rotated around a wire to cut through the rubber insulation. The stripper is then moved along the length of the wire to pull away the sleeving. Gauged Manual Wire Strippers contain multiple differently sized notches for wires of different widths to be slipped into, reducing the risk of accidentally severing the wire, & eliminating the need for twisting. Automatic Wire Strippers, on the other hand, allow for stripping in a single, smooth motion, as the insulation is gripped & cut automatically. This drastically reduces the time it takes to complete lengthy stripping jobs, & requires little skill to do. However, Automatic Wire Strippers are less versatile than Manual Wire Strippers as they work for a smaller range of wire gauges (though providing yourself with several for different gauge ranges will eliminate this problem).
