This is an excellent piece of kit, very well made and operates very smoothly. When fully extended it becomes less easy to use, but for its length this is actually a lightweight tool. Much easier to use than a conventional tree lopper. But bear in mind it is not designed to cut thick branches....

This pruner works really well on light branches. It is easy to use and holds the branch well after pruning. The handle is easy to extend and locks in place, unlike my previous pruner. I also prefer the squeeze handle action rather than other pruners with a pull cord as it gives you two hands to hold the pruner, this is essential when it is fully extended.

I wanted to replicate a long armed pruner that i once owned, but found it impossible to find one that did not need one to hold the pole in one hand, whilst pulling a cord with the other. not a comfortable thing to have to do, especially when reaching up high. this pruner leaves both hands to control the pole and enables the cutter to be operated easily with the hand on the cutter bar. the infinite adjustments both at the top, bottom and the pole length itself, make it the best i could have found. the engineering is top class - almost too 'posh' to keep in a garden shed! obviously made by engineers who are keen to maintain a very high standard.
