I bought this set square as I was fed up with fiddling with the little lock screw with the other set squares and even worse changing the rule round and lining up the slot in the spring loaded screw is most frustrating. Eventually the tip of the slotted screw sheared off rendering my set square useless - and I chucked it away but did keep the ruler. This new magnetic set square is IDEAL and I urge anyone to buy one of these despite the extra cost. the magnets hold the ruler in so that moving it is just stiff enough to make it possible to make adjustments which are then held by the magnets. A bonus is that you can simply change the rule over by pulling it out of its slot turn it over and then put it back in the slot - NO FIDDLING SIMPLY PUSH IT BACK IN. BONUS is that the long ruler I kept from my earlier set square also fits perfectly hence I have 2 set squares - a short one and then a longer one. Buy one you will not regret it.

This has to be the most appalling tool i have ever purchased, so much so i have already purchased a replacement and disposed of the draper one, my advice- do not waste your money on this item
