Petrol Engines
It is important to read all instructions regarding petrol products. 4 Stroke engines require oil and some machines are supplied dry (No oil to start with). Running a 4 stroke petrol machine without oil will result in the engine seizing and is not covered under warranty. 2 Stroke engines will have a mix of oil in the petrol this normally 1 part oil to 50 parts petrol but not always, again please read the instructions supplied with your machine. Petrol engines do require more maintenance than electric engines but if reguarly maintained they will normally give many years of use.

A strong machines, does the job, but i struggle with a comfortable cutting position and the controls. the engine cut-off switch is easily activated because of the difficulty i have with the handling position. a bit of a hassle to free oneself from the harness each time the machine is to be started and then reconnect when the harness connection point is high up.

I used this brush cutter in a rural garden that had not been cut in probably a couple of years. It sorted out the long grass, weeds and slightly larger wooded stuff easily. I easily cleared an area in a couple of hours that i thought would take days. Will take a little bit of time to get used to what controls to press to start it up - but once up and running it was excellent. I liked the ability to leave the engine idling without the blade rotating, thus giving you the option to not turn the engine off. It is noisy and there is a fair amount of vibration in the arms.

Effective, reasonably light , simple to use and with adequate power from the 32cc engine to do the job. Starting is easy either hot or cold. Just make sure you have some ear defenders!
