This pump was purchased to replace one of a similar model that wasn't quite powerful enough. the previous draper pump was still working after 15 years of service and i'm expecting the same of this one. it is installed at the bottom of my private garden well and serves all the domestic water for our house.

I have just bought this to replace the 100watt one i've been using for many years. it is in the bottom of my well in the garden, lifting the water to a tank half way up the first floor of the house. my previous pump worked well, but only had short lifting capacity due to motor size. This one gives me a good pressure delivery having come 25ft up the well, about 30ft along the ground, and another 15ft up inside the house. exactly what i was looking for to supply our herefordshire house.

I gave this product a review on the 10/10/2009 after purchasing it. i could not comment on the reliability but now i can. it is now 13/07/2011 and the pump is still down the well and working just as good as when it was new. the price has now increased on what i paid but it still represents good value. in this case, reliability is top of the class.

This product cost me a total of £120 including carriage, the best price I could find anywhere either local or internet. Although I am not a fan of any of the low rate premium telephone numbers, 0870/71, 0845 etc., Draper do have a real telephone number where you can use cheap override providers, their technical services I can give a score of 100%. Tooled-up nicely provide a pdf of the handbook so you know what you are buying in advance and draper have their contact numbers in there. The pump is well made complete with full flow non-return valve and a plastic adaptor that will allow variations of hose sizes or screw on fittings. I have searched long for an affordable pump that would have good output, and sit in my 11.5 meter deep Victorian well, I have seen expensive stainless steel pumps at three times the price and no better performance, don't be put off by its plastic construction, it really is well made and tough. In service I checked it and it delivers approximately 36 litres a minute through 30 meters of 17mm ID plastic hose (supposed to be nominal 3/4?, perhaps its 3/4 under pressure!!)anyway for a lift of some 7.6 meters from the top of the water in the well it is good performance to say the least. The moulded plug is good quality onto a good quality cable and although one pin on the plug was severely bent it was strong enough to withstand straightening. I have nothing but praise for the pump and Tooled-up pricing. Kevin Elks, Dover, Kent.

Very good solid product with excellent lift capabilities. Great value for money given its power of 36m lift from such a compact unit.
