When i unpacked them, the crimpers looked a bit big and clumsy but when i actually used them, they were not clumsy at all but they do need a good hard squeeze to complete the crimp. If you use crimpers all day, then i would advise spending the extra money and buying the long handled version. they are well built, i expect them to last the rest of my working life provided i keep the mechanism clean and suitably lubricated.
