I was looking to buy a telescopic hedge trimmer, as the cost of hiring one more than once was greater than the cost of buying. I was hesitant about getting a petrol driven trimmer due to the hassle of using and storing petrol and oil, so an electric one was preferred. I researched several makes of telescopic hedge trimmer and was surprised to find that this battery operated trimmer received good reviews from other users. I bought this sabre cut xt 18v from tooled-up as it was the best price around and delivery was quick. The sabre did not disappoint. I had a forsythia hedge to trim as well as a hedge with a mix of holly, bramble, and various other woody plants, and the trimmer made a good job of them all. Like most trimmers there is a limit to the thickness of stem it will cut, and though it may well be less than for petrol driven trimmers it was not a major drawback for me. The sabre when fully extended vertically was manageable, but it is quite weighty when being used at an angle. The battery life was acceptable, and did not wear out before I did. It does take about 2-3 hours to charge the battery, but if you plan ahead this should not be a problem. The trimmer is sturdily built and is easy to assemble/disassemble. I am certainly pleased with my purchase.

Product is very well made. easy to assemble and disassemble. i would highly recommend for any light hedge/shrub trimming work required.
