What is a Combi Drill?
Answer
By 'Tooled-Up Team Member' on 24/02/2012
A Combi drill ,or Combination drill to give it it's proper title, has a Hammer action for drilling into Bricks and Masonry. It will drill wood and metal when the Hammer action is switched off.
They also have a Torque control settings for screwdriving thus they perform all the functions of the Drill Driver plus the ability to drill into masonry. They have the advantage of being more versatile than a Drill Driver because of the wider range of materials they can drill, but are usually slightly heavier and slightly larger for any given battery size.
