The BDCHD18K has a rotary only mode for standard drilling and driving tasks into materials such as wood, metal or plastic; additionally it can be switched to rotary hammer action for more efficient drilling into tough masonry like concrete or brickwork. Black & Decker's spring loaded battery system keeps the included lithium ion battery securely in place, ensuring maximum electrical contact and stability during intensive hammer drilling applications, while facilitating quick and easy battery changes when needed. Compact enough for working comfortably at height or in confined workspaces, the BDCHD18K is also equipped with an LED target light which helps illuminate the work area when visibility is reduced.
