Einhell’s Professional Grade Cordless Nailers and Staplers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The FIXETTO series from Einhell is designed for fastening applications with nails or staples. These tools are part of the Power X-Change battery system and are completely battery powered, making them convenient and easy-to-use. What makes them interesting is that while most people might think of Einhell as a DIY brand, the FIXETTO series is actually part of a growing Einhell Professional range which is fully guaranteed for professional as well as domestic use. So they’re designed to be used by contractors as well as DIYers, but the great thing is they don’t have the same hefty price tag of most contractor grade machines. Not only that, but the standard Einhell range and the Einhell Profesional range are both designed to work on the exact same batteries, making it a surprisingly affordable system. Currently the FIXETTO range consists of the FIXETTO 18\/50 N<\/a> (nail gun) and the FIXETTO 18\/38 S<\/a> (staple gun).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Can I Use these Tools For?<\/h3>\n\n\n

Currently both of the models in the FIXETTO series are intended for lighter duty fastening – that is, they aren’t suitable for joining large timbers together but are designed for fixing down materials like skirting boards, wooden trim, panels, boards, fabric, insulation and wire netting. This application range makes them ideal for renovation work, garden projects, and for building things in the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Use a Cordless Nail or Staple Gun?<\/h3>\n\n\n

Of course, nails and staples can be driven by hand, but there are a number of reasons why you might go down the power tool route instead of using traditional hand tools for these jobs. For one thing it’s going to be less fatiguing, especially if you are faced with having to drive a large number of fasteners for a project, but it also gives you excellent precision control for more delicate jobs, saving you from accidentally damaging the workpiece (or your thumb) with misplaced hammer blows. Additionally, operating a nail or staple gun is typically a single-handed operation so it’s especially convenient when you need to hold the material in place with your other hand or are working in an awkward position- for example while up a ladder, or in a confined area. When you don’t have space to swing a hammer, or only have one hand free, a power tool greatly speeds up the process and can save you a lot of frustration too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIXETTO Advantages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Replicating the powerful striking force of a hammer blow is not something that’s easy to do inside a compact electrical device, and in the not-too-distant past most nail gun users would have had to rely on a separate air compressor to run them (in fact many still do). Nail guns were also developed which didn’t need to be hooked up to an air line but instead used disposable canisters of gas. But fast forward to the present day and nail guns which run on nothing more than rechargeable power tool batteries have become a viable option. In the case of the FIXETTO series, these tools use technology which Einhell calls PressAir: this system uses compressed air inside the tool itself, so you don’t need a separate air compressor and you don’t need to buy any gas canisters. Simply load up a battery and the tool is ready to fire. PressAir was developed to be maintenance-free for long term convenience and supports both single shot use and series mode (whereby you can multiple fasteners in rapid succession).<\/p>\n\n\n

Einhell have added robust gearboxes for durability, and rubberized surfaces to the exterior. This means the tools can be set down securely without causing accidental scratches or dents on sensitive surfaces. They also have softgrip handles for comfortable operation with less fatigue, plus integrated LED worklights which illuminate the work area for excellent visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n

They will run on any Power X-Change battery, and these same batteries can be used to power everything from lawnmowers to vacuum cleaners as well as a comprehensive range of cordless tools for DIYers and contractors. Power X-Change tools can be bought as bare units (without battery and charger) so once you have all the batteries and chargers you need, these cheaper tool-only options are a cost effective way to expand your tool kit without having to accumulate a load of surplus batteries and chargers too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Einhell FIXETTO 18\/50 N 18v Cordless Nail Gun<\/h3>\n\n\n

The FIXETTO 18\/50 N <\/a>uses 1mm thickness nails which can be between 15mm and 50mm in length. Tool-free depth adjustment allows the right setting to be dialled in depending on the length of nail and the hardness of the material, and the magazine holds up to 100 nails at a time. There is a simple tool-free mechanism for freeing any nails that get jammed inside the machine, and in series firing mode the FIXETTO 18\/50 N can drive up to 60 nails a minute for rapid work progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FIXETTO 18\/50 N is available as a bare tool or in a variety of kit options with battery (or batteries) and charger. In each case the nail gun is supplied with a belt clip and a pack of 500 nails to get you started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Einhell FIXETTO 18\/38 S 18v Cordless Staple Gun<\/h3>\n\n\n

The FIXETTO 18\/38 S<\/a> will accept a variety of staples, as long as they are 10-38mm long and 5.7-15mm wide. Like the nail gun, the depth can be adjusted for optimum performance and the stapler can fire up to 60 staples a minute in series mode. All available variants are currently supplied with a starter pack of 500 staples and a belt clip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
