## Description

The X17 is a medium splitting axe which is ideal for splitting small quantities of fresh wood. It is designed for working on medium sized logs with a 20cm+ diameter. With classic Fiskars design features such as the distinctive orange styling and hooked shaft, the fourth generation X17 has been enhanced with a patent pending structured grip, along with a lightweight and extremely durable Fibercomp body which provides anti-shock dampening for user comfort and allows for fast, accurate and powerful strikes. The unique 3D grip structure allows maximum control for a secure and safe hold at all times, along with the hooked end which stops the axe from slipping through the hand. A hardened, powerful blade provides effective cutting capability and is easily pulled out from inside logs, for rapid task completion with minimal fatigue. As well as providing the X17 with a remarkable low weight, the use of Fibercomp ensures an incredible weatherproof robustness which is backed up with a 25 year guarantee (registration required). Virtually unbreakable under normal conditions, the Fibercomp shaft envelops the axe head for a bond that remains inseparable even under heavy usage. For safe transport and storage, a sheath is supplied which additionally protects the blade while not in use.
