## Description

The Gardena Soil Moisture Sensor enables intelligent, water-saving irrigation control by monitoring soil moisture levels and automatically adjusting watering schedules. This electronic sensor works in conjunction with Gardena water timers to prevent unnecessary watering when soil moisture is adequate, helping to conserve water whilst maintaining healthy plant growth. The sensor is simply inserted into the ground beside plants where it electronically measures temperature differences in the soil to derive accurate moisture readings. An adjustable rotary knob allows users to set the desired moisture level to suit specific plant requirements, whilst the display provides visual confirmation of current soil conditions. The 5-metre connecting cable offers flexible installation options for most garden layouts. Powered by two 1.5V alkaline batteries (LR14/C size, not included), the sensor provides reliable operation for approximately one year with a low battery indicator ensuring uninterrupted performance. When combined with MasterControl solar, MasterControl or MultiControl water computers, the system can operate in purely sensor-controlled mode for fully automated irrigation management.
