Well built, good pump pressure.
Product does what it says!Great value for money!
I was a bit reserved about whether this pump would be any good for pumping water from a water Butt. It’s FANTASTIC, plumbed in to a hose pipe and I have better than mains water pressure, super quiet and added luxury of the remote on off feature, as well as programmable timers, ideal when going away. This is a must buy if you need to pump standing water to mains pressure
Good product
I have been using this pump to extract water from a river to water a polytunnel using solar electricity. It works really well and easily pumps water 50 meters up a steep bank. Not sure about the speed it claims to work at, maybe this is pumping it downhill. It took about an hour to fill a 1000 litre IBC. Plenty quick enough for our needs though. It feels robust and we are really pleased with it. Highly recommended.
We needed a compact pump and accessories to empty re-cycled vats, and the accessories to re-house the water. The Karcher pump and hoses have shown to be ideal for our needs: power and fast, then take little space when packed away. The total cost was within our expectations. We have several Karcher tools and have never been disappointed. For us it fits our needs!
Simple to use. Does what a pump should.
Really powerful motor. We use it from our 800lt rain butt and its as powerful as the mains if not more. Remote is great as well, very useful
Excellent - does all it claims
I am a keen gardener and i bought this pump to draw water up from the many 45 gal water butts which i have. One irritating feature was that the input hose is flexible but the spring inside it keeps the hose curled up quite tightly and when it is pushed into the butt the bottom of the hose tends to push up and does not stay low. I solved this by cable tying the hose to a spare broom handle with the bottom of the hose about 4"up from the bottom to keep it clear of the sediment in the butt. It is a very useful item and i would thoroughly recommend it. The remote control is extremely useful.
Arrived missing its seal in the reservoir cap. Even when primed and sealed with no air (using my hand instead of the cap and a helper) It does a poor job sucking just 1 metre from a well. I have fitted 2 non-return valves and it still will lose water from system requiring more priming making the remote control feature redundant. Tooled Up will not accept a return due to using it. So a pump making a trip to eBay.

Customer Questions & Answers
Q : Once machine turns off, warter is still coming out
A : Siphoning can occur when the tip of the pump's discharge pipe is placed lower than the liquid surface in the suction-side tank. To stop this happening you can either fit a hose pipe connector with a control valve to the output pipe that you can turn off when finished or raising the tip of the discharge pipe so it sits higher than the suction hose.
Q : I want to suck water from a swimming pool to feed a pressure washer so I can clean the cover using recirculated pool water, so without adding external water to the pool. would this pump work?
A : I can confirm that this would be suitable for your needs as long as the pool water is clean. AS this pump is not self priming, I would recommend purchasing a filter with 1-way valve Item Id: 21010433. This will help keep the suction hose primed.
Q : I want a pump to lift water from a bore hole and also to empty water butts. The water in the bore hole is rather muddy but doesn’t seem to be gritty. The bore hole is about 2-3 inches in diameter. What would you recommend?
A : Unfortunately, we do not appear to stock a borehole pump with the diameter for your borehole. further to this the GP50 would not be suitable as it is designed for clean water only. I would recommend finding a suitable submersible borehole pump that can handle pumping dirty water. Pumping the water to a tank on the surface, then use a dirty water pump to pump water from the tank to where it needs to go.
Q : Am I I right in thinking I can use this to suck up deep water from a blocked drain and pump it to another drain?
A : Unfortunately, this pump is a clean water pump and is not designed to pump water from drains, for this you would need a dirty water or trash water pump.
Q : I wish to run 5 lawn pop-up sprinklers from the GP MC pump achieving a radius of 10 meters on each sprinkler when running simultaneously. Will it work?
A : I can confirm that this pump is capable of a maximum pressure rating of 4.7 bars (68.16psi) to work out the pressure requirements for your system you will need to take into consideration the length and size of hose using and the pressure requirement of your sprinklers.
