Providing powerful water suction of clean water from static sources - such as swimming pools, hot tubs, water butts & wells - Karcher's GP 50 Surface Water Pump is the heavy duty option for the most demanding home & garden applications. Watering large sized lawns or draining big volumes of water won't cause any difficulty: compared to its cousin the GP 40, the GP 50 boasts an extra 1000 litres per hour of flow for a total of 4000 l/h, while the maximum flow height has been increased from 35m to 47m, allowing the pump to be used to transport water even up steep inclines. A high performance 1100W electric motor drives a maximum pressure rating of 4.7 bars, ensuring continued water delivery under strenuous loads. As well as featuring a powerful motor & impressive specs, the GP 50 also includes a convenient remote control timer, making it an ideal solution for unsupervised watering of lawns & growing areas. The remote control timer allows weekly watering periods to be set in advance, offering the choice between several pre-programmed modes, customisable duration selection, & manual activation & deactivation of the motor when needed. It is supplied with a mount fitting for fixture to walls & sheds, from which the timer can be detached & reattached as required. An environmentally friendly alternative to garden tap sourced watering methods, the GP 50 can be used to reduce water wastage by irrigating with harvested rainwater. Rainwater has the additional advantage of containing a richer supply of nutrients to promote healthy flower & plant growth. As a clean water pump, it is designed for non-brackish water sources containing particles no larger than 1mm in diameter. It should not be used to transport water containing sludge, sewage, grease or oil. The pump is not designed for continuous operation, for instance as part of a stationary installation such as a fountain. It is also not suitable for boosting mains water pressure by connecting to a tap. These include a 10m Layflat Hose with a 1" bore for transporting away large volumes of water, & a 5m solid suction hose for drawing in water from the source. Two tapered water pump adaptors are also supplied to enable connection of the hoses. Included as standard is an adaptor for connecting 1/2" garden hose pipes to the water pump's outlet, & an AquaStop universal hose connector, which helps to ensure splash free accessory interchange when watering with a spray gun or lance. • 2 x External threaded G1" (one for the water inlet and one for the outlet). See above for adaptor fittings required to attach various hoses in addition to the screw fittings supplied. Additional Equipment Required for Automatic Watering of Your Garden: To automatically water your garden using the Karcher GP 50 MC Garden Water Pump you will need a suitable Garden Water Sprinkler (or selection thereof); either a Pulsating Water Sprinkler or an Oscillating Water Sprinkler. A 1/2" or 3.4" A suitable 1/2" or 3.4" Garden Hose Pipe can be attached to the outlet thread of the Water Pump by using the Karcher 1/2" Adaptor (Already Included) or 3/4" Adaptor (20999732) according the size of your Hose Pipe - most Hose Pipes are 1/2".
