With DXT technology (Deep Exact Cutting Technology) this new mitre saw from Makita has a 305mm TCT blade that offers a 165mm maximam depth of cut. Precision cutting is achieved by utilising 4 short telescopic poles instead of the traditional 2 to make the unit more rigid and accurate, this also results in reduced user vibration and 6 linear ball bearings ensure smooth slide action. A 3 stage reduction gear unit and double action guide fence allow for greater cutting capacity during angled and bevel cuts. The base can be swivelled for mitre cuts up to 52° to 60° right and has positive stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6° and 45°, it can also be manually locked to achieve any angle by twisting the front handle.
