Sash Clamps

Sash Clamps are a larger type of clamp and they are commonly used in workshops. Most Sash Clamps are fitted with predrilled mounting holes which enable them to be bolted down to a work surface, as well as a row of holes along the bar which enables the moveable jaw to be inserted at the appropriate position before tightening it down onto the material. Ideal for glueing up larger assemblies like tabletops, the Sash Clamp gets its name from the framework used to hold glass panels in a window or door. For strength and rigidity they typically have an all-metal construction.

• Aluminium Sash Clamps - if you need your Sash Clamps to be portable, you will appreciate the reduced weight of an aluminium version. The use of strong but lightweight aluminium makes these clamps much easier to lift and carry, whether you are transporting them around the workshop or taking them out to the jobsite.
• Clamp Heads - a set of Clamp Heads provides you with an economical and space saving way of making up your own Sash Clamps whenever you need them. Simply provide you own bar stock (typically a length of timber or pipe) and affix the jaws to make any size of clamp you need. Bear in mind that if using timber, it is prone to warp over longer distances and won't provide the same rigidity as an all-metal clamp.
