PUR - or polyurethane - is a single compound, solvent free adhesive that works by reacting to ambient humidity in the local environment, triggering a chemical reaction that results in powerful molecular crosslinking for a much stronger bond. With a 7.5 times higher load bearing capacity than ordinary glue sticks, & a 5 times greater tensile strength, PUR can be used for a wide range of sticking applications that would ordinarily have required a powerful reaction adhesive. Waterproof & weather resistant, PUR is ideal for use outdoors & in other damp environments, & as it is applied at a much lower temperature than conventional hot-melt adhesives, PUR is also less likely to cause damage to sensitive materials. This advanced bonding method is suitable for virtually any material, including ceramics, marble, metal, glass, wood, leather, textiles & various plastics (excluding pp, pe & polystyrene).
