The Wera 8740 A HF Zyklop VDE Insulated 1/4" Drive Hexagon Bit Socket is a professional-grade, individually tested insulated bit socket designed for safe and confident working on live electrical installations. Engineered for hexagonal socket head screws, it features a built-in holding function that keeps screws firmly secured to the tool, significantly reducing the risk of dropping or losing fasteners when feeding them into the workpiece. Each socket is individually tested to IEC 60900 at 10,000 V, making it approved for safe use at voltages up to 1,000 V. A distinctive two-component insulation system adds an extra layer of protection — a yellow insulation core sits beneath the outer red VDE insulation layer, becoming visible immediately if the outer layer is damaged, giving you an instant visual warning before any safety is compromised. The extremely short and compact design makes these sockets ideal for working in confined spaces, while the plastic sleeve protects delicate surfaces from damage during use. Available in hex sizes from 3mm to 8mm.
