Just received this and i am very happy with the performance, a contractor friend of mine has a laser level for erecting kit houses it was £360, slightly brighter but no more accurate. So my opinion is, what a blinding bargain this is, only had it a week and i have used it to install clips for my pipework, instal bathroom units,radiator brackets i am well impressed, don't know how i did without one before. Its a bit like silicone don't know what you are missing until you have it

Fantastic product. Does exactly what is says for the price. Two laser diodes so the lights do not dim when on vertical and horizontal together. Bright clear lines inside so you will not need the glasses-it will be less visible outside but i imagine only on bright sunshiny days or at large distances. I was using to level and plumb for timber carcassing and for tiling for which it is a great tool. You will need a tripod of some sort and it fits on the one i use with my camera-same thread. The self levelling is by pendulum and as a result is fool proof-but it is sensitive so if you knock it it will beep at you and warn you that its in danger of being damaged-just take the right amount of care and this will give years of reliable service.

Arrived today and tested-batteries duff but called customer services and they despatched new straight away-no quibbling. As i have just got it i am not sure what its reliabilty will be like-hence a middle of the fence score. tested with good cells and the product has a very bright line inside. There is no fade when switched from single line to cross. Any vibration will make the line wobble-but this is not that inacurate or annoying. Features are 'what it says on the tin' - gives a line to cast and measure off. Tested against a +£1000 laser and was perfectly accurate. For £30 i couldnt recommend anything better from the many reviews and products i have viewed, and tooled-up have got my repeat business from their excelent customer service.

Used for marking out a double garage base over 8 metres. pros. – value for money, accurate, fast. cons. – limited to 2 or 3 meter in full sun, no tripod supplied. outdoors tips. – use the glasses, use a cyan target colour, use on an overcast day, try to stand so that you cast a shadow on the target whilst not obstructing the laser beam. alternatively, use a spirit level to set markers slightly high then go out at dusk and finalise all the levels accurately with the laser.

Fantastic value for money! I've used much more expensive lasers and was not, for the modest cost, expecting anything special. Well, i was very pleasantly surprised! What a time saver! pros: very compact, extremely simple to operate, solid construction, comes with glasses (for outdoors and bright lighting - i didn't need them) comes with a practical protective carry case and uses standard batteries. cons: none so far. well, a tripod would be nice, but at this price i'm much happier with a well made, reliable laser and a trip to my local jessops. honestly, just get one and make your life easier.

Incredible value for money and a fantastic time saver. This is the third laser level i've bought and easily the best. The laser is rather faint for outdoors use (the included glasses are essential for this), but for the price you're not likely to get any better right now.

Fantastic piece of kit. saved me hours trying to get a straight line through a computer room ceiling void (which had a lot of very messy services just strung around)to which i had to fix some pipework. this is very well built, stabilises in under 5 secs and has an out of alignment alarm signal that also turns off the laser (if some computer geek bangs into it !)if disturbed from it's original setting. comes in a good bag to protect it too. can't recommend it enough !
