Q : The chain has come off a few times, when this happens does it mean the chain has become too loose & needs replacing also is it necessary to oil chain frequently while using?
A : Hi Elaine, it is important to make sure the chain is tensioned correctly as described in the user manual, but if it still runs loose after being tensioned properly it sounds like it is worn out and should be replaced. It is important to oil the chain regularly, yes - for example with the GK1000 you should oil it before every use and then after every ten minutes of use. I'd recommend consulting the user manual for your specific machine for more information (if you don't have the original manual you will probably be able to find an electronic copy online)
