Q : Hello, am debating whether to buy prewound line/spool or just the line. Same price but you only get 10m prewound versus 50m line. Is it not too difficult to wind and what happens if you don’t get it even ? Does it just snap more? Have read that prewound will be more efficiently wound but can’t believe it would make up for 40 extra metres? Thank you
A : Hi Hilary, the line won't necessarily snap if it isn't perfectly wound but it is more likely to jam, while a neatly wound line should feed out smoothly all the way to the end - it isn't hard to wind a spool yourself but I suppose it comes down to how much patience you have vs how much you're willing to spend. Some people are more than happy to spend a bit more time and effort winding the line on themselves while some people would rather spend a bit more money to avoid having to do it :)
