Q : Is it possible to fit a D handle sliding pull onto a ROUND combisystem pole with the Art 303 anvil pruner attachment and thus prevent the cord from being tangled in tree branches when operating the cord supplied on the anvil pruner? It would be an improvement to have a sliding cord pull on the pole with the ability to adjust the length of the cord to suit the job in hand.
A : Hi Raymond, I'm afraid I'm not aware of anything which enables you to do this - I suppose the sliding part would spin around a bit too much if it was on a circular shaft and that's why the telescopic handle has a more defined shape to keep it centred. You may be able to come up with a DIY solution of course.
Q : What diameter branch can this pruner handle? I've got the 302 head right now, and it can't cut through anything larger than 1/2".
A : Hi Bob, Gardena say the Combisystem Anvil Branch Pruner is suitable for "effortless cutting of branches up to approx. 35 mm in diameter" so that's getting on for about one and a half inches, though bear in mind as an anvil pruner it is designed for dry and old wood, rather than greener branches
