A : Hi Simon, if you go to the Service & Support section of the Gardena website there's a spare parts section and if you make enquiries through there they should be able to advise further.

A : The Gardena StarCut 410 Plus is in fact not electrically powered at all, and is manually operated. You may be able to find a suitable alternative if you go to the Pole & Tree Pruners category in Outdoor Power Tools, which contains a selection of mains and battery powered machines
Q : How do you activate the cutter is it only from the very end?
A : It is designed to be used via the orange grip in the middle of the shaft. Pulling down on this closes the jaws, and when you release it they spring back into the open position.
Q : Can you tell me what they weigh
A : I can confirm that these have a shipping weight off around 5kg
Q : Can you tell me the length of the loppers for stowing away?
A : When closed this item has a length of 230cm.

This product carries a full 25 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design.
Some manufacturers will offer a direct repair or replacement service (as applicable) which will often resolve your problem more quickly.
