Q : Hi Can you tell me if I can use this sprayer with Thompsons solvent paver sealer please, also how would you go about cleaning it after use. Regards Ian.
A : Hi Ian, I've been trying to get Hozelock to confirm whether or not their Viton sprayers are suitable for solvents in general but I'm afraid their responses are a bit cryptic! They advised that solvents should NEVER be used in any type of pressure sprayer, but also provided some literature stating that the Viton pressure sprayer range is suitable for the application of hydrocarbon-based solvents (for example certain wood treatments). When I questioned them further they said that only chemicals in which the solvent was used as a carrier/penetration aid were suitable for use in these sprayers. I would therefore assume they are not suitable this application I'm afraid.
Q : can I use the sprayer with Resiblock Superior Natural Matt Block Paving Sealant 5Lt regards vic
A : Hi Vic, it's hard to say whether specific products are suitable or not as it depends what is in them. However, the application guidelines for Resiblock say to use a brush or roller, and the safety data sheet implies that you really don't want to breathe it in or get it on your skin so I'd advise against spraying it unless they have confirmed it is suitable for application this way.
Q : Can you get replacement seals for this sprayer? Thanks.

Q : Is this product suitable for 5 to 10% hypochlorite solutions ?
A : I contacted Hozelock and they advised: "Our Hozelock Viton pressure sprayer range is designed for water based pesticides and fertilizers, I would not recommend using them with a Hypochlorite solution."
Q : Can you use very hot water in these units ?
A : No, the maximum temperature in the user manual is stated as 30 degrees C.
Q : Can this product be used with hydrochloric acid
A : You can use HCL in this sprayer, however, this will shorten the life expectancy of the seals and this is not covered under the warranty.
Q : Can solvents be used many thanks
A : I can confirm that as long as the solvent is not corrosive then you will be able to use this with this sprayer. It is advisable to ensure the entire sprayer pipes and lances are flushed through with water after use to help prolong the life of the sprayer.
Q : Can this product be use to clean cars with a foam product
A : I can confirm that as long as the detergent you are using does not contain any corrosive chemicals you should be ok using car detergent with this sprayer, however, you may find Karcher Garden Hose to Pressure Washer Accessory Adaptor Item Id: 20999177 and Karcher Plug n Clean Foam Nozzle with Car Shampoo for K Series Pressure Washers Volume: 1l Item Id: 20998466 a more suitable solution.
Q : Is this sprayer suitable to be used with Alcohol M?
A : I can confirm that this sprayer will be ok to use with alcohol. It is advisable to ensure the entire sprayer pipes and lances are flushed through with water after use to help prolong the life of the sprayer.
Q : Is this product suitable for creosote modern substitute - assuming reasonable wash out with water plus detergent afterwards?
A : I can confirm that this pressure sprayer is not suitable for creosote .

This product carries a full 2 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables.
