Power Packs

What you need to know about Battery Packs

There's nothing more irritating than a flat car battery. Referred to as sulfation, battery depletion is common in winter, & is generally a result of high energy usage coupled with inadequate journey times for the battery to recharge in. Short trips & consistent use of headlights & windscreen wipers all put car batteries at risk of sulfation, but even the most careful drivers sometimes find themselves saddled with a flat when they least expect it. Lead Acid batteries in particular also tend to self discharge when not in use, at a rate as high as 5% per day - so if you have a vehicle which is driven only infrequently, it's very possible that the battery will be depleted by the time you need to use it. It's important to be prepared, & with a power pack, you can give your battery the boost it needs to get the engine started. As power packs are portable, some users choose keep one in their boot as a contingency for unexpected flats.
