Q : Hi, thinking of buying this to clear a patch of really overgrown brambles. When I say “overgrown” I really mean it; some parts are over 7 feet tall. Hoping to get something hand-held so I can do a few hours early every morning. Any advice appreciated!
A : Hi there, note that unfortunately this particular tool has been delisted and we no longer sell it - it is just shown here for reference. As far as hand tools go, something like a scythe, slasher or bill hook will be suitable for the kind of work you've got in mind, although there don't appear to be that many on the market currently and we don't really have any available at the present time. A pair of loppers might be a good alternative - the long handles mean you won't have to get up close to the thorns, and they're readily available. If you wanted a power tool to get rid of overgrown areas, a brush cutter would be what you'd be looking for, and we do have quite a few of these as well.
