Absolutely fantastic bit of kit. I had a petrol strimmer until my brother decided he wanted it back. As i have a 36v hedge trimmer and 2 4ah batteries i thought i would get this body only. Can't fault it even on thick weeds. Only down side is the head doesn't rotate but you just turn the whole unit. Happy customer. Great service from tooled up also. Will be getting the 36v mover soon

An excellent cordless grass trimmer. It performs well in tough conditions and is easy to operate. I used a 4ah battery and it lasted a long time before needing to be charged. Quick to assemble and easy to handle for a tall person (185cm). It is just what i wanted and i am pleased with this purchase.

Really impressed. I have certainly put it through it's paces, although i have burned through 2 reels in less than a week which could be costly if i kept this pace up heh. This included some serious heavy duty strimming work on high nettles, long grass and thistles all of which it went through effortlessly, did not even have to use the higher speed setting. Battery gives a good time too, and you easily know when it's ready to be charged as you hear the strimmer slowing down. excellent for ladies to handle, low vibration and quiet, but i did have to add a strap to help support some of the weight. Just waiting for another pack of strimmer line to arrive and back to more strimming. Who knew strimming could be this much fun, won't want to put this down for long!

Has worked fine on its solitary outing so far, cutting couch grass nettles and brambles. The 36v 4.0ah battery provides sustained power and was still working normally after 50 minutes (end of job). The strimmer is relatively light and well balanced when working, but i have added a shoulder strap to take the weight for longer jobs. I have 2 batteries and a bosch cordless mower (also strongly recommended) and a medium size garden and lawn. Haven't run out of power yet.

The bosch 36 v battery is a very good power source and ideal for portable garden implements. This strimmer is good to use and ideal for ladies, being lighter than a petrol model and requiring little technical know how. My wife loves it! The cutting performance and string life is greatly enhanced by the metal filament in the cord. If you are a serious gardener you will need 2 batteries or will need to wait about an hour for one to recharge. I have 3 batteries and 3 implements and since i can only use one at a time this works well. The only niggle with the machine is the battery catch which is just a bit too tight, needs a bit of fettling to make it just right.

A : I can confirm that this grass trimmer takes a Bosch 36v DIY battery and unfortunately will not take a 36v professional battery.
Q : Is this tool compatible with a battery made in 2012-13.
A : I can confirm that as per the user manual this item is compatible with the following batteries: F 016 800 302 (1,3 Ah) , F 016 800 474 (2,0 Ah), F 016 800 301 (2,6 Ah) and F 016 800 346 (4,0 Ah)
Q : Is the 36v 1.3 Ah Li ion battery for the Bosch AHS 54-20 hedgetrimmer compatible with the Bosch Art 30-36 grass trimmer ?
