Great drill for the average DIY'er. Robust enough to take what will generally be thrown at it.
I'm so pleased with this BOSCH PSB 18 L1-2 Battery drill making it the fourth Bosch I've owned and the best so far. On that I'm very tempted to buy another as a back up and make a total of four 2.5Ah batteries. Best regards - Dave Smith
A good replacement for my old Bosch cordless drill. The forward/reverse button is a bit different but ok.
I am now converted to Bosch products, they appear to be far better than many similar products out there.
Well made and designed. Ideal for the diyer. Very solid and packs a punch.
Good product, bought as a replacement for one that i bought 2 years ago but used it so much that i burned out the motor, works very well even on hammer action with the chuck less key, the carry case is robust and has pleanty of space to carry rawl plugs and screws with the charger and extra battery.
Super fast order and delivery Highly Recommended
Powerful drill at an affordable price.
First class product from first class company

This is an excellent drill, it fits in with my other Bosch tools as the batteries are interchangeable. It does what it says on the box.
I have had one of these drills for years and decided to buy another one as they are good value for money and they do the job ..
Good combi drill.. light and easy to use. Good price for similar including 2x2.5 amp batteries
A++
Ordered a new DIY Bosch PSB18 LI-2 drill including new style charger as illustrated on the website. I went for this model, as I had previously had the first model of this when brought out by Bosch in 2011, so lasted me well. The new model has improved torque and overall quality is better. However, due to technical issues within the IT department, I didn't receive the new style charger, it came with the old style charger, the same as the one I had with the old model. If I'd have known it came with this I would have bought the drill and charger separately, as the old style charger doesn't work with the new style batteries. On a positive note to the company, I emailed them on the Friday evening regarding the issue. By the Monday morning when they had come back to work, the issue had been rectified with the IT department and the image had been changed to show the older style charger. The company had also authorised a replacement upto date charger (they are on the website, under Bosch DIY) and I received this on Wednesday. On the whole you can't ask for more than this. The company listened, acted and rectified the issue. Please note there are still old style batteries available for use so don't be put off by this. Just ask the company or contact Bosch. I have a Bosch professional starter line drill and the Bosch DIY PSB18 LI -2 beats it hands down. I highly recommend.
Bought to replace similar item that had faulty switch

Customer Questions & Answers
Q : what size drill sizes does chuck take. 10mm, 15mm maximum ?
A : Hi Jim, this model of the Bosch PSB 18 LI-2 has a 13mm chuck so will accept any accessory with a shank of up to 13mm diameter. The maximum rated drilling diameters are shown in the specifications in the description on the product page, e.g 13mm in steel, 35mm in wood, etc
Q : Is this drill suitable for 1.5 battery and is it new Thank you
A : Hi Karen, yes all the goods available for sale on our website are new, although we may open the boxes of products like this to add batteries etc prior to shipping. The PSB 18 LI-2 can be used with an capacity battery, as long as it is a Bosch 18v Power4All battery - so if you have an 18v 1.5ah Power4All battery it will be fine, yes
Q : I have one of these that came with the older charger (AL2215CV). I understand it would not charge >= 2.5Ah batteries, but a newer charger (e.g. AC1830CV) would do so. Please can you confirm that the tool would be compatible with the higher capacity batteries in the Power 4 All range? Thank you.
A : Hi Stuart, yes - in principle the tools will all work with batteries of any capacity as all this affects is the length of time they will run for. I'm only aware of one exception at the moment and this is one of the sanders which the larger capacity batteries won't physically fit onto as the battery port is in between the handle and the dust port - however the drills will be fine with any Power4all battery.
Q : Is the charger supplied with the above, the latest Bosch charger? I need to know in case I need a new compatible battery in the future. Also could you confirm the ah is it 2 or 2.5 I will purchase if it is the new type charger. Thanks D.K.Hanson
A : This machine is actually available as a number of different battery options which you select from the green drop down menu before proceeding to purchase - as outlined in previous answers below, most of these do come with the new charger as can be seen in the images, but note the 2x2ah version is a kit that comes in complete from Bosch with the older style charger
Q : Is the motor brushless?
A : This drill has a brushed motor but the newer PSB 18 LI-2 ERGONOMIC (Product ID 21008602) and ADVANCEDIMPACT 18 (Product ID 21027172) are both brushless machines
Q : Hi - 3 questions here... 1. what is the difference between this version and the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 18v Cordless Combi Drill? 2. why would you choose a 2ah rather than a 2.5ah? 3. if you select 1xbattery of either 2 or 2.5 do you get the latest charger? Many thanks,
A : Hi Patrick, to answer your question in order: 1. Both machines are very similar on the exterior but you will notice the one you are looking at here (PSB 18 LI-2) has a bit more power as it can deliver more torque and speed. If you're wondering how to explain the price difference between them it's simply that we were able to buy in lots of this model on a promotion so can sell them cheaper while stocks last. 2. There is not much of a feasible reason to choose a 2ah over a 2.5ah battery unless you were concerned about the (very marginal!) difference in size and weight between the two. Again the price difference is just down to promotional pricing while stocks last. 3. These models are both supplied with the charger pictured - currently it is only the option with two 2ah batteries that comes with the older charger (as they are sent in from Bosch like that) - hope that answers your questions!
Q : Hi the psb 18 li-2 18v priced at £69.95 with one 2 ah battery does it have the latest charger?
A : At the time of writing it does, yes - this is a kit we make up ourselves and currently it is only the option with two 2ah batteries that is supplied with the older charger (as that is how Bosch send them in)
Q : Hi, I have owned the previous incarnation of this model. I am hoping to replace it with this one and reuse the batteries and charger of the old model. It looks like they have had a facelift with this model and do look different. Will my old batteries work with this. They are original Bosch 4All.
A : Hi Peter, I think I know the model you mean - it came with a label on the handle saying 18V 4All? If so then yes they are compatible but at any rate, as long as the batteries are Bosch 18v Power4All lithium ion, from any Bosch Green DIY or Garden power tool they will be compatible with this drill, and every other tool in the Power4All range, past and present.
Q : Does this come with the new style charger? It seems to depend on which option you pick. Please can you clarify as I bought a new style battery and can’t charge it at the moment.
A : Hi Jerry, the machine will come with the charger pictured, but as you mentioned, this depends on the version you choose - the reason for this is that some are kits that we make up ourselves before sending them out, while the 2x2ah version is a kit that comes in complete from Bosch with the older style charger
Q : Does the bare tool come with a carry box?
A : Hi Matthew, as stated in the description this model does not include batteries, charger or a case. It will be supplied in a cardboard carton though if that's what you mean? (some bare tools come wrapped in bubblewrap for instance)
