Running a 4 stroke petrol machine without oil will result in the engine seizing and is not covered under warranty. 2 Stroke engines will have a mix of oil in the petrol this normally 1 part oil to 50 parts petrol but not always, again please read the instructions supplied with your machine. Starts really easily - first time usually. Has adequate power for small to medium logs but can labour on anything over 14 inches across - this is easily overcome with turning the log as go along. Comments in other reviews about build quality are valid and documentation is vague but if you want a chainsaw that is cheap and works ok this is for you.

Started well, but after using third time would not start.Had to be exchanged. No problem there, well done. However after using the replacement about five times the recoil mechanism feel apart.I gave up on the thing! I took it apart to see what the problem was. A very poor build. Wasn't worth getting repaired. I'm afraid these machines are all face, made to look good but they are seductively cheep! My advice to everybody ,supplier and buyer is don't bother, waste of time and money.

This is a great little machine for garden maintenence.Following the instructions results in easy starting. My one complaint regards the users manual which cotains very sketchy instructions and diagrams that are barely discernable. I had problems locating the chain adjuster screw and still havnt found out how to regulate the chain oil supply. Apart from that it is good value for money.

Unfortunately this one came with a leaking fuel tank when on its side which i haven't reported yet as desperately needed to use it straight away and have been under severe attack at work and at home but will do this monday coming and try get a replacement. Have used it that way keeping it flat and works very well otherwise.

Starts second pull every time and after my previous saw, the pull is so easy it's barely believable! Wish i'd found this years ago. It tears through logs as a sharp new saw should. The instruction diagrams are ludicrously tiny so you need a magnifier but this is a minor quibble.

This was puchased as a replacement for my old stihl 16" saw. does everything the old one did at a third of the cost of a new stihl. The only 'missing' feature on the handy is a decompression button but that's something i was quite happy to do without to save £150! prompt delivery to southwest ireland - i'm impressed with the saw and the all tooled up service.

The chainsaw was purchased to cut down around 40 conifiers!! With 8 down, my husband said it is like cutting through butter!.
the features and price were just what we were looking for.
with a prompt delivery and the option to change delivery day, which really help us.

Overall a great value chainsaw. Ok a bit more clunky in operation and for basic servicing than the stihl i use at work but for general domestic use it is absolutely fine. Given the price it really is a bargain.

Difficult choke mechanism. Easy to start and use, runs well, cuts well and is a very useful tool for heavy pruning. only time will tell but to date am happy with it.

Bought this chainsaw based on the price and reports of reliability.
i have cut up loads of firewood since receiving it and cant complain - it starts easily and cuts very well - plus the safety chain brake works very well
early days but so far very positive for the price !!

Replacement as first died after 1.5 hours - choke control came away in my hand!

Purchased this chain saw after reading other reviews on this and other saws. the "handy" was the only one that received posative reviews. After using it, on light work, three times, it starts well, after a little perserverance the the first time, and cuts very well. only time will tell about it's "lasting ability", the choke mechanism may be it's weakness. Again problem with diagrams.

Really pleased with the service from tooled up, product arrived within days and when i was told it would. Ive used the chain saw for three days and have to say im very pleased with it. No problems srarting it either cold or warm, and pleased with the power and overall performance. As said in other reviews instruction diagrams could be better as it took me a while to find the tension screw but definately happy so far

Have only used the chainsaw a couple of times, but it works well so far.

Cutters on chain are a bit small. With sharpening they could quickly become too small.
it is easy to start and runs well.
it is light and easy to use.

Great budget chainsaw - good value for money and no frills. Just watch the petrol mixing instructions 25:1 not 50:1! I expect it will catch some people out.

Finally got round to using it last week.
choke lever very hard to pull but started fine. Used on about 60m of trees without any problems. Choke lever broke away from carb so have returned to tooled-up. Very good returns procedure.
