I can understand the importance of trying to keep this tool razor sharp but it still seems light to tackle heavy growth. main design problem for me was the short handle which did not allow me a deep enough grip when more force was required. i imagine it was so expensive because of the material in the handle but to me it seems a costly product. i like it better with more use but cannot say that i was completely satisfied with it. thank you for your interest.

Well it does what it says on the tin but, not straight out of the box.
not quite the razorsharp carbon steel blade out of the box. it needed a good sharpen, but then it was ok.

Assembly instructions not clear, but otherwise a good product.

After 6 years my blade has broken. It has cleared, nettles, dock and assorted weeds with no strimmer noise, very little weight and very little need for sharpening.
I think that it is an invaluable tool.

I am finding it difficult to sharpen, despite purchasing a carborundum stone as recommended.

Unfortunately after clearing some thick grass the blade made contact with the ground and bent slightly. I gently tried bend it back to shape but the hardend blade snapped. Be careful not to contact the ground !
