This tool has been extremely useful for myself on a number of jobs around the house, like fitting striking plates and door hinges, cut outs for back boxes and wall sockets, cut pipes and nails to name but a few.
this particular tool seems fairly strong and haven’t had any problems with it yet. I was going to get the battery version, but reviews indicated the battery life was not that good.
also it's easy use/ hold, although the allen key fixing of blades is a bit slow..
talking of blades, i recommend new users to check out the bosch "c tec" range. These weren't mentioned in my brochure from bosch, but they have a slight curve to the toothed edge, which makes cutting easier than with the straight edged variety.
the tool came in a great little plastic carry case, with a small selection of blades and sanding pads. There's enough room in there for a whole heap of extra blades and pads, which you will almost certainly need. Therein lies the main drawback, as the consumables are pretty expensive and fairly short lived.
in my opinion he benefits outweigh the costs, so i'd recommend this tool to any keen diy’er.

Purchased a cheap multi-tool (draper) which i returned the next day following some use. It got hot, the blade loosened despite giving it the death grip, this is due to only four locating pins.
the bosch was a world apart, there are twelve locating pins, the blade feels secure and i never had to re-tighten it once. It runs cools and cuts perfectly, spend the extra few quid for the quality.
