Lenox Tools – Coming Soon!

Lenox Tools
Lenox Tools are not exactly a household name in the UK, though their name derives from the estate of the Earl of Lenox in Scotland. The wolves that once roamed the area inspired the signature Wolfs head hallmark of the brand, and the associated connotations of speed, strength and sharp teeth were seen as fitting attributes for a company that started out making hacksaw blades back in 1915.

Headquartered in Massachusetts USA, Lenox have grown substantially over the last hundred years and now manufacture a range of products, although saw blades and cutting tools still constitute the core of their business. Lenox tools have established a reputation for exceptional performance and durability over the years, a feat which was no doubt helped by a long standing marketing campaign spearheaded by Lee “Hackman” Breton, a Lenox employee credited with manufacturing the very first bi-metal reciprocating saw blade. After transforming the reciprocating saw blade market with this new concept, Hackman began demonstrating the new Lenox Hackmaster blades by cutting vehicles and other objects in half, starting with a car in 1981. By 2010, when he retired, Hackman had cut his way through over 500 objects, including a London bus, a house, an armoured car and a Boeing 727.
The Lenox brand started a new chapter in its history this year when it became part of the Stanley Black & Decker Group, and thanks to the increased market presence that this has generated, we are pleased to announce that we will shortly be stocking a selection of Lenox tools and accessories on our website. For those who aren’t aware of the current Lenox product range, let’s take a look at what’s available.
Lenox Hole Saws
Regarded by many aficionados as just about the best hole saws in their price range, Lenox have proved their worth by pitching their range against competitor’s products and posting the results on their youtube channel, which can be seen here. Check any reviews online and you will also find them held in consistently high regard. Made in the USA and equipped with Speed Slots for fast and easy slug removal, the latest generation T3 Bi-Metal hole saw has been engineered for 50% more service life and twice the durability than its predecessor, and combined with the Lenox Snap-Back tool free arbor system, is supremely quick and easy to use. Ideal for use on wood, metal or plastic, these hole saws are available singly or in trade specific sets with durable transport cases. Additionally, Lenox manufacture diamond and carbide tipped alternatives for materials such as tile, stone or stainless steel.
Lenox MetalMax Range

An innovative new range of cutting tools available from March 2018, MetalMax discs look like standard segmented diamond blades but were actually developed as an alternative to bonded abrasive cutting discs and are designed for cutting metal with tools such as angle grinders, cut off saws and disc cutters. Offering thirty times the lifetime of bonded cut-off wheels, MetalMax blades typically provide over 1000 cuts before they need to be replaced, and the steel body helps reduce the risk of breakages that can often be a hazard with standard abrasive discs. What’s more, they were designed to be used as a direct replacement for bonded abrasive accessories, meaning they can be used in your existing equipment without having to make adjustments to tool speed or any other settings. The Lenox MetalMax range is recommended for multiple types of metal including steel, stainless steel, sheet metal, rebar, cast iron, aluminium and non-ferrous metals.
Lenox Reciprocating Saw Blades
Fittingly for a company that brought the first Bi-Metal reciprocating saw blade to the market back in 1977, Lenox Tools have a strong line in this field and manufacture a variety of different ranges. The standard Bi-Metal range has been upgraded with Power Blast technology, a process which involves high speed blasting along the cutting edge of the blade to reduce breakages and increase durability. These blades are suitable for general purpose cutting in wood, metal and plastic. For tiles, granite and abrasives, the Lenox Carbide Grit Reciprocating Saw Blade range is manufactured with durable carbide grit particles on flexible blades which are designed to provide fast cuts without snagging or binding. Also suitable for these materials as well as cast iron, the Lenox Diamond Reciprocating Saw Blade range is manufactured with nickel alloy-brazed diamond particles which maintain sharpness for longer than standard carbide grit alternatives. Other ranges include the Lazer CT series for cast iron and stainless steel, the Demolition CT series which is ideal for nail embedded wood, the Standard Demolition series and the Lenox Gold Power Arc range which is designed to deliver superior performance for common light to medium duty applications in metal, plastic and composites. There are also Lenox reciprocating saw blades available specifically for dismantling pallets, cutting masonry and for use in pneumatic cutting machines.
Lenox Jigsaw Blades
The other main power tool accessory range that Lenox Tools manufacture are jigsaw blades. These are available in Bi-metal, high carbon steel, carbide grit and diamond grit options for wood, metal and abrasive materials.
