Garden Shredders Important Information
The capacity of Garden Shredders is affected by a number of factors and will be reduced from the stated figures in some instances. Green wood with high moisture content, wet wood, especially hard wood can all cause the shredder to struggle to shred efficiently. Never shred wood that has a diameter larger than the stated figures and in instances as above shred only smaller diameters. Allow sufficient time to cool the motor when shredding large amounts in order to avoid burnout.

I ordered this item on the recommendation of a friend whose judgement I trust. Service and delivery of the item were very efficient. Unfortunately the wheels were broken. However, they were readily replaced, quickly. The cutter is just what I hoped- cuts very well indeed, good safety features and quiet. I would prefer to have larger wheels as I have an uneven garden and paths and have to wheel it out quite a long way. However, I am in my 70s and have bad arthritis. If I can manage it - anyone can. I have just finished nearly 2 hours of successful chopping and have much more to do. I have great confidence in the machine and company.
Purchased to replace a identical model that stopped working after many years service. A little quieter than the old model. The hopper now locks in place, so doesn't keep stopping.Handles everthing that fits in the feeder. Better with dry material. It is worth leaving anything that has a lot of green leaves to dry for a few days. The "free" loppers are excellent, really sharp and positive
I've tried three garden shredders previously. This Bosch AXT25 TC is simply the best. It doesn't clog like the fast spinning ones and handles large branches effortlessly. So, it does cost considerably more than others, but it's worth it if it works as you want it to and safe in the knowledge that spares are available unlike the branded ones which you can't even get the sacrificial alluminium anvil for.
Great bit of kit. Simple operation. Could do with more features for the price but not at all disappointed with its performance. Because the hopper is not particularly wide dealing with handfuls of cuttings can be messy. An attachment could solve this.
This replaced an AXT 2200 HP that I'd had for 15 years. It's certainly a worthy successor and made short work of the material I put into it. When I tried to register it for an extended guarantee, I couldn't find the serial number - the manual was of little use in identifying its location. Where did I find it? Hidden under the power cable coiled around a cover plate at the back of the machine! So now you know.
