Lufkin were established in 1869 to meet the demand for measuring tools in the logging and timber industries around Cleveland, Ohio. From the offset, they were committed to manufacturing products that weren't as cheap as their competitors but made to be as robust as possible, ensuring they represented value for money in the long term. They expanded throughout the 1900s and currently own manufacturing facilities in America, Canada and Australia.
