Drill Stands Information

There are a few different types of drill stand on the market; diamond core and mixing drill stands are designed for use specifically with diamond core drills and power mixers, but the most common type is designed to accomodate corded electric drills that have a standard 43mm collar. With the auxiliary handle removed, the drill is fitted into the stand and tightened in place. This enables the machine to be used like a drill press for increased accuracy when drilling 90° and straight holes, and is especially useful when working with forstner bits and similar accessories; most models are designed to be mounted to a workbench but some are portable and can also be used on vertical surfaces like walls as well.
