As always with Festool another quality product granted their products are expensive but once you have used them it's difficult to switch to another brand.
I bought a pair of these as cost effective upgrade to my non-Festool track saw (Rutlands branded chinese one) and as you would expect, they perform much better than the cheap ones that came with it. For a start, you only need 2 to rip an 8 x 4 sheet, but it's just the quality in general. The rubber strip is thick and heavy, but also translucent, so you can see marks underneath it and it does an amazing job of stopping tearout on the top edge. Almost perfect (with my nice Freud 40 tooth blade, another upgrade). Also the glide strips are much more slippery, not to mention the two-bar joining system, as opposed to just the 1 on the previous tracks. If you can get these at the right price (and that's why I ended up at Tooled Up) then go for it.
Bought to extend another FS1400/2 guide rail. Easily joins with the FSV connector to get a decent length guide rail that is still portable.
