Read 6 Customer Review(s) for Bosch ADVANCEDROTAK 750 Lawnmower 450mm
Prior to this machine, I had a Bosch ROTAK 3700ER but it was underpowered and when, as a lazy gardener, I let the grass grow too long, it would struggle and overheat surprisingly quickly. However the Bosch ADVANCEDROTAK 750 is a beast of a machine. It slices through overgrown grass and weeds without hesitation. The 450mm cutting width and relentless power means that the chore is soon complete. In addition to this, it is significantly quieter and the height adjustment is brilliantly quick, simple and intuitive. I strongly recommend. Money well spent.
Brilliant does not seem to stay on the minimum setting but not sure if that’s cause the lawn is uneven but even on 3 it does a nice cut.
Does what it says on the box. Replaced old lawn mower. Only used a few times so far but lawn looks good. Lead way too short, need to used extension one which is not ideal. Handle folds tidy over machine for storage easily.
Great product competitive price bought from stock so not much wait only had chance to use twice but great end result and easy to use. Only downside is the length of electric cable.
Excellent quality as you might expect from Bosch. Arrived ready to use from box. Very quiet in use. Useful sized grass box. Highly recommended
Tooled-up.com did a great job - ordering and delivery was very quick, and price was good. Unfortunately this is a really bad device for mowing lawns, especially up to the recommended size of 740 square metres. Have bought this machine to replace a Bosch 43 Ergoflex, which had a 43cm cutting width, and importantly a 15m cable. Going up to this machine, with a slightly wider 45cm cutting width doesn't help at all as it only comes with a 10m cable. So the Bosch 43 can cover a 750 square metre area without needing to move the cable (just - my previous mower was even better, there must be some sort of trend here), with the AdvancedRotak 750 you also need to buy an extension lead and stop several times to move it. The collection box is very flimsy whereas the previous solid box was much better. And this collection box fits less well so within a couple of metres of mowing the entire top surface of the mower is covered with grass cuttings. Could have given one star for build quality but am optimistic that some of the other features will stand up to repeated use (so far have only done a single cut of the lawn). Worst of all however is that there is no rear roller on this machine. Which, unless you let the grass grow very long before mowing again, means you can't see where you're previously mowed. Especially on the sort of medium/larger lawns this is supposedly designed for I repeatedly ended up going over pieces of the lawn more than once. What with the shorter cable it took me almost twice as long to mow my lawn as previously. The one positive feature is that it really is very quiet, as highlighted in the description. But being quieter, whilst completely failing at the basic purpose it is meant to deliver, means it is terrible value of money. Am contacting Bosch directly to obtain a refund as I can't afford to buy another mower that actually does what I need it to.
Customer Questions & Answers
Q : Hi Does the Bosch 750 lawn mower have self propelling wheels ??
A : Hi Neil, the Bosch AdvancedRotak 750 is push propelled (by the user) - if you go into the main lawnmowers category you can select "Self propelled" as a search filter from the column on the left which will enable you to view all the mowers that have this feature, though it is much more commonly found on petrol machines
Q : Is there a difference between the Bosch advanced rotak 750 electric lawnmower (which you have in stock ) and the same product described as Rotary (which is out of stock and more expensive) I am thinking of making a purchase. please advise thank you
A : Hi there, as far as I can tell you are referring to the AdvancedRotak 36-750? (product ID 21030865) - if so the difference between these two models is that whereas the AdvancedRotak 750 is a corded electric machine, the 36-750 is powered by a Bosch 36v battery and does not have to be plugged into the mains
Q : I have just seen a video of this that clearly shows it has a roller..you say it does not have one in previous answer..please can you clarify??
A : Unfortunately there has been some inconsistency with this in the past, and we've had instances of customers buying a Bosch Rotak mower expecting there to be a roller in the box, only to find it wasn't included. As Bosch make no mention of one in their product description or in the user manual, its safest to work on the assumption that this machine does not include a roller, but I'm going to check with them and will you once I hear back.
Q : Does this mower make Stripes on the grass.
A : No. To get a striped lawn you will need a mower with a roller - this machine does not have a roller but if you go to the main lawnmowers category you can select "roller" in the filters at the left of the category to see all the ones that do.
Q : What's the wattage of this lawnmower? The specs say both 1700 and 1800W?
A : I can confirm that this is a 1700W machine.
Q : Does this mower have a roller for making stripes?
A : I can confirm that this lawnmower does not have a rear roller.
Q : Hello, I'm curious, what type of motor is installed in the lawnmower AdvancedRotak 750 ? I mean, is this an induction motor (brushless) or commutator motor (with the brushes)? Can't find this information anywhere. Much appreciate your help.
A : I can confirm that this machine has a DC motor
Q : How long is the cable, and does this model have a rear roller?
A : I can confirm that this Lawnmower has roughly 10m of cable and does not have a rear roller.
