Does the job admirably considering it's light weight and the small battery I am using (2Ah). The DuraBlade is a vast improvement over the old string type.

I nearly didn’t get this due to reviews but am so glad I did. It is fine up against pots etc and I don’t lose loads of cord like traditional strimmers as blades just bounce off. Great how can turn end so can do edges as well. Thoroughly recommended!

Very impressed. Well built and very easy to use. The battery is a very impressive bit of kit that re-charges in an hour or less, and easily lasts long enough to do the whole lawn (which takes about 20 minutes or so). Much more robust that some market leading makes - some of which which look like toys in comparison. I recommend taking a look at this make and model as a competent replacement for any petrol mower.

This battery strimmer was a replacement for an earlier model. It's almost identical to our previous one but the battery and charger unit are both smaller, but the performance is about 100x better. The blade has been improved too and it looks as though this will perform better than the previous plastic ones. Altogether, a great product.

Blades wear very quick when trimming grass growing against a brick wall. I had better results using my old nylon cord trimmer.

Q : Could a art 26-18 li strimmer convert to a string version. I have found my new strimmer does not cut the grass short enough. Thank you. PS I am assuming my my strimmer has no height adjustment
A : Hi Charles, I'm afraid the ART 26-28 LI is only suitable for use with blades and has a fixed cutting height - you could of course use the battery to power other string trimmers in the Power4All range if you find you can't get ideal results (the EASYGRASSCUT 18-26 is currently the most affordable option - on our site under product code 21026562)
Q : I have just taken delivery of this item. The 2 cutting blades provided are plastic. Are these the dura-blades which reviews state are an improvement on earlier ones?
A : Hi Graham, I'm sure they will be yes as the ART 26-18 LI has only ever been shipped with Durablades as far as I'm aware. I doubt very much that Bosch would be allowed (under EU regulations) to manufacture them out of metal if that's what you were wondering?
Q : Hi, could you tell me if the charger that comes with the battery option for the Bosch ART 26-18 LI 18v Cordless Grass Trimmer 260mm is compatible with the Bosch Genuine POWER4ALL PBA W-B 18v Cordless Li-ion Battery 2.5ah? I notice that the description for the battery states it needs a newer AL 1830 CV or above. Also would these batteries work with Bosch UNIVERSALCHAINPOLE 18v Cordless Telescopic Pole Tree Pruner 200mm and Bosch EASYHEDGECUT 18-45 18v Cordless Hedge Trimmer 450mm? Thank you, Jenny Leggat
A : Hi Jenny, once you have selected what battery option you want from the green drop down menu it will show you the Contents in the description; all battery versions are currently supplied with an AL 1830 CV so you will be fine to charge the bigger batteries with this. It is only one older style of charger which is incompatible with the later styles of batteries, and this has mostly been phased out these days. In answer to your other question, yes - these batteries will be suitable for use with those machines, and every other product in the Bosch 18v Power4All DIY/Garden range.
Q : Hi, Would the bosch art 26 - 18 Li 18v cordless grass strimmer work on my power for all 18v system 1 5 Ah battery synein chip (that came with my drill) please? Thanks Nicola
A : Hi Nicola, I think you're asking if this grass trimmer will work with the 1.5ah battery from your drill? The Syneon chip you mention is an integrated circuit inside the tool, and not something you'd normally remove! However, Syneon chips are only found inside recent Bosch Power4All tools, so if you have an 18v Bosch drill with a Syneon chip, then yes - the battery will be compatible with this grass trimmer.

Q : Hi yes my bosch drill is green but realised i bought it in 2017 not 2018 its profesional 18v in green but it doesnt say 4 all on battery will it still fit the art 26 strimmer
A : Hi Terry, your drill sounds slightly unusual as the Bosch Blue tools are part of the Professional system, while the Green ones are the DIY/consumer grade models and the batteries aren't interchangeable between the two ranges. What you could do is click on the "See the full range here" section to the right of the product page - this will show you all the current tools, batteries and chargers that make up the Power4All range. If you recognize your machine amongst them then you're good to go, but if not I'd assume the battery won't be compatible I'm afraid.
Q : Hi i bought a bosch profesional cordless drill 18volt a year ago with 2 batteries and charger will the batteries fit the bosch art 26 strimmer please
A : Hi Terry, if it's a Bosch Professional (Blue) machine the batteries will not be compatible I'm afraid. The ART 26 can only be used with the Power4All batteries from Bosch DIY / Garden (Green) power tools.
Q : We have already got this exact model which still works but coming to the end. We have the battery and charger so should this supplied without the accessories still be ok? The product was bought 3 years ago and lived a good life! Please kindly advise
A : Hi Linda, if you have the same model of grass trimmer then you can absolutely use your existing batteries and charger with this bare tool - in fact Bosch Power4All 18v lithium ion batteries (which is what you will have) are all compatible with a wide range of cordless DIY/Garden tools, which can be seen in the Bosch Power4All Tools range page on the right of the product page, so you can use them to power any of those too. Q : Where can I buy a battery for my Bosch ART2311 trimmer?
A : Hi John, I can't find this model so I'm guessing it must be fairly old? If it uses Bosch Power4all 18v lithium ion batteries (the same as the current generation) you can find compatible batteries and chargers in the "Suggested Accessories" section on this product page (Bosch ART 26-18 LI).
Q : It’s not clear to me whether this basic model comes with batteries and charger as standard or whether I need to purchase them separately ? Thanks
A : Depending on what you select from the dropdown this is supplied as either a body only or a complete kit with 1 battery and charger
