Black & Decker Impact Drivers are ideal for driving larger fasteners as they are capable of delivering much higher levels of torque than conventional drill drivers. As soon as the tool encounters significant resistance, the impact mechanism kicks in and a series of rotational hammer blows help to drive thicker or longer fasteners deep into the material.

Impact drivers are typically cordless tools and Black & Decker 18v Impact Drivers run on the same lithium ion battery platform as the rest of the current (lithium) Black & Decker 18v home & Garden range. This means you can share one or two batteries between several tools and save a bit of money by buying Body Only (without battery) versions where available.
