In fact i was looking for circlip pliers to fit smaller holes & only some circlip pliers seem to have this detailed. I subsequently bought one designed for circlips between 8mm to 25mm which did the job; these pliers are designed for circlips larger than 19mm. in fact i have found them useful anyway. The angle at which they engage in the holes of the circlip keeps them engaged when removing a circlip but if used to replace, this does make it a little harder to disengage.
