There are more expensive meters on the market that do a worse job. For what it is, it does a splendid job. The hold function and backlight are really useful, not only that but there are more expensive meters that lack these functions. the build quality is fantastic - a rugged unit, built to be bashed, in a rubber boot that gives it a nice tough feel. The little stand on the back is a bit flimsy, and will snap under very little pressure, but it certainly holds the unit upright (as illustrated in the picture). it also has a good tollerance to large loads. Although it should not exceed 10a under measurement, i have already accidentally subjected it to higher and it is perfectly fine. This was only for a fraction of a second and i can't say it will not damage other models. probably my favourite function is the diode tester, which doubles as a circuit finder, which when dealing complicated situations is vital. overal - brilliant value for money. Does everything i want and expect from it. Great little gadget that fits in almost any tool box. In short, i love it.

being an electrician i use this meter every day and it gets lots of use . not only is it robust its a good size to carry around i am more than pleased with it i would reconmend to any one
